National Disability Action exists because 61 million Americans live with disabilities, yet the needs and voices of this community are too often ignored. As attacks escalate, including proposed cuts to Medicaid, threats to Section 504, reductions in home- and community-based services, and slashed special education funding, we are here to change the landscape.

Our mission is to elect leaders who champion disability rights, defend life-saving programs, mobilize the disability vote, recruit and train pro-disability candidates, and hold policymakers accountable. Today, cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, and essential disability services are leaving families without the support they need, even as policymakers overlook advocates speaking out in massive numbers. Despite being a large and powerful constituency, the Disability Community remains excluded from political power structures. We are working to change that, permanently and unapologetically.
